Now, as I said in the first video – being saved is really not the issue. Because God did say He would save all that trust Him.

So before going on I want to make it very clear – that this is a last day message designed to protect us against being deceived by the wolf that’s said to be coming in sheep’s clothing.

So don’t worry that those that have past on before us believed in things that may or may not be true. As said before, God knows the intent of everyone’s heart.

With that being said, lets check the evidence with a few comparisons on how Acts 16:31 has been misinterpreted - therefore giving a false picture of God’s requirements for being saved.

So what does it mean to trust – what is Acts 16:31 really saying? - Trust in God and you will be saved? – believe or trust in God about what?

Now I’m not asking that to confuse you – I’m asking these questions to hopefully to cause some thinking.
  • Would it be trusting that the blood of Jesus has covered or hid our sins from the Father? Or would it be greater good news to know that God the Father has 20-20 vision – He see us, rags and all - and loves us the same as Jesus does? Wouldn’t that be greater good news?
  • Would it be trusting that Christ’s sacrifice was sufficient in satisfying the wrath of God the Father against us – because we broke the rules? Or would it not be greater good news to find out that the Father is not wrathful towards us at all?
  • Would it be trusting that Jesus took our place on the cross? Or would it be greater good news to find out that the Bible statement about the wages of sin being death is not a death sentence from God - but instead, it’s a statement of consequence? Did you get that? I’ll repeat it - the wages of sin being death is not a death sentence from God - but instead, it’s a statement of consequence? If we continue down the road of rebelliousness against the way we have been made to function - a cancer will develop within us that will destroy us. It’s the cancer that kills – not God. So again, wouldn’t the truth of that be greater good news - that the Father really doesn’t have legal demands with a death sentence penalty?
You see Acts 16:31 doesn’t mean to just believe that Jesus paid it all for us – So now all is well with the Father. Instead, it means to trust in God’s ways to the point of wanting those ways to become our ways.

So when Acts 16:31 states to believe or trust in God and we will be saved – has far more meaning than to only trust that our sins where forgiven. Besides, there has never been a time that God’s forgiveness had to be plead for or gained – because God’s forgiveness has, and always will be, a part of Him – it’s who He is. All we have to do is accept it.

Realizing that forgiveness is not the issue, one would have to be asking, what is? The issue is really very simple. It’s for us to spend the necessary time daily seeking the ways of God in order to gain enough evidence to trust that God the Father really is just like Jesus. Which should have us wanting those same ways within us – then we are safe to save – that is our ticket to Heaven. So where it’s said that there is no other way into Heaven – this is what that means.

It should be comforting to see the picture of ALL Heaven pulling for us, don’t you think? We then, might be able to come to understand that God’s ways are the only thing that makes sense. And at that point, shouldn’t that make us safe to save? I mean after being witness to every evil under the sun - against or in contrast to the kind of person God is, shouldn’t that have us running from evil? This would even reveal that a heart transplant must have taken place.

It seems to me that this would be a better fit within the purpose of this world. God’s purpose is to convince us that His ways are best. His method for doing that has been to allow us the freedom to go in all kinds of different directions. The very fact that there are hundreds of different churches is a revelation of that.

We have come up with all kinds of ways to gain forgiveness from breaking the rules which has turned religions into seeking legal solutions. As said before, we’ve had to experience this in order to know the difference. It shouldn’t be hard to understand that a true heart transplant is the genuine solution instead of simply believing in a mechanical solution for being forgiven.
A thought to go with this is, we could ask the question, what’s going to keep us from doing the same as Lucifer or Adam and Eve did – after a thousand or two years? Do you suppose we could forget what evil had caused, if we hadn’t had a heart transplant?

We would do well to understand that a heart transplant or a healing must take place within the person. To be declared righteous – just saying that it’s so, doesn’t make it so – it doesn’t change the heart.

Now the natural question that can arise is, “you mean I have to become perfect?” Well, of course not, but this really has been a huge concern for many – this is why it’s so important to spend our time learning all we can about the ways of God. Maybe we ought to consider one point in the prodigal son story - that it was God the Father represented, as He ran out to meet us as we are – filthy rags and all.

The first chapter of “What’s The World All About Anyway?” is all about developing a teachable spirit, because God can’t help anyone that is not willing to listen and be teachable. That really is the first step. And I must say that even goes for the senior pastor.

We must not forget that it was the senior religious folk that put Jesus on the cross.
Yes, the first step is to be teachable and the second step is simply allowing God to give us the evidence that leads to trust.

And the evidence is revealed within the life of Jesus – how He treated even His enemies.
We need to understand that the whole purpose – and I repeat – the whole purpose for Jesus coming to our little planet was to reveal the ways of God the Father – for the purpose of putting down the accusations of the rebellious one. (John 17)

Within this concept it reveals that – Yes, even God the Father would have come to die for us to reveal that sin or cancer really does kill – while at the same time showing us just how far the enemy would go with evil.

This is totally a different paradigm. Notice the difference that the legal view has Christ satisfying a demand from God the Father that sinners must die. They will say that if you don’t choose God’s way He will torture you in a hot down under place called Hell – forever and ever – or at least as long as one might deserve.

But the Great Controversy view has Jesus coming to reveal that God the Father is just like Him – loving, gracious, forgiving – demanding nothing but our free will to choose life. And if we refuse He will simply let us go to our own rebellious choice that will surely destroy us.
Understand that Jesus is not pleading with the Father for us – instead Jesus, God the Father, and the entire Heavenly host are pleading with us to come away from what will surely harm us.
And what goes along with this understanding is to realize that their pleading is for us to develop a teachable spirit because God can’t do anything with us if we are not teachable. If we are not willing to listen to the evidence, what’s God to do?

So just in case you didn’t know, I’m doing everything I know to inform others, with common sense evidence - that God the Father is just like Jesus – who is also pleading with us to realize that He is not as His enemies are making Him out to be. God the Father is not some kind of satanic monster that is going to burn us forever and ever if we refuse Him – all in the cause of justice.

And remember as I repeat - that it was God the Father that ran out to meet the prodigal in his filthy rages - called sin. The son had made up all kinds of stories to at least be one of the servants – but the Father wouldn’t hear of it. The Father accepted him as he was – he only had to come home to receive the benefits.

So many of us might have came home for the benefits – but if you’ve been open to notice what the Father is like – how long did it take to begin to love the Father’s ways?

But for those of you that stayed home – do you really know the Father’s ways?

Remember it was said that some might get ticked off? Check the story out in Luke 15. I don’t think anyone of us want to be like the eldest son that got ticked off because he stayed home living the so-called, perfect life only to find out that he really didn’t know his father.

Now for those of you that are struggling with some of these concepts and have the question – well, doesn’t the Bible say….? The next video, will explain what really is infallible within the Bible.
